Trevor Eddolls is CEO of iTech-Ed Ltd, a company he formed in 2004. The company provides consultancy and analysis, writing and editing, webinars and training, and Web site design and development.

Trevor was worked with mainframes since 1979, and in May 2009 he was made an IBM Data Champion (which was rebranded making him a IBM Information Champion).

Trevor is responsible for running the Virtual IMS user group at www.fundi.com/virtualims. He chairs the regular webinars and produces the regular newsletter.

For the past few years, Trevor has edited and produced the Arcati Mainframe Yearbook (www.arcati.com) - the de facto reference work for IT professionals working with z/OS systems since 2005. It includes an annual user survey, an up-to-date directory of vendors and consultants, a media guide, a strategy section with papers on mainframe trends and directions, a glossary of terminology, and a technical specification section.

Trevor is regularly invited by journalists to give his opinion on IT matters.

He has taken part in many webinars and was in CA's expert panel when discussing Cloud Computing in November 2010.

Trevor has published numerous articles in a variety of online and printed publications including zJournal, Mainframe Executive, Tech Support Magazine, Computerworld (US edition), Enterprise Client/Server, Insight IS, News IS, MiddlewareSpectra, TechieCrossing, and AccountingWeb. He has also written White Papers and internal documentation for software vendors.

For many years, Trevor was Executive Editor for Xephon's highly-technical Update journals. Each month he produced a number of these publications including MVS Update, DB2 Update, CICS Update, and many others.

Trevor has also written three books: VM Performance Management, Introduction to VM, and ASO: Automated Systems Operations for MVS.

He has also designed and produced a number of outstanding Web sites, written to W3C standards.

In terms of training, Trevor is a Microsoft Office Specialist Master Instructor (MOS MI) as well as a qualified teacher.

Interestingly, Trevor is also a qualified hypnotherapist and psychotherapist.

Outside of work, Trevor is chairman of the staffing committee of governors at a local secondary school, which recently became an academy. He was chairman of a charitable trust at the school. In terms of hobbies, he enjoys swimming, juggling, cycling, and playing racket ball and squash. He particularly enjoys playing guitar and occasionaly the saxophone.
